Abu Dhabi Airports has entered into an agreement to improve passenger flow and enhance border control and customs services across the emirates’ five airports.
This partnership with the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) introduces the ‘Smart Travel’ initiative. This system allows passengers to clear immigration in as little as seven seconds using biometric verification and smart gates.
‘Smart Travel’ aligns with Abu Dhabi Airports’ goal of providing a seamless gate-to-kerb experience in under 12 minutes, enabling travelers to quickly leave the airport and reach their destinations shortly after arrival.
