The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has introduced the ‘Winter Safety’ campaign to raise awareness about the risks of seasonal accidents.
This initiative focuses on promoting a culture of prevention and safety in homes, camps, and public facilities. It encourages the community to engage in safe practices during winter activities.
The authority stated that this campaign is part of their ongoing efforts to mitigate risks proactively. It’s aligned with their strategy to cultivate an integrated preventive system where community awareness plays a crucial role as the first defence line.
Aiming to engage all societal groups, the campaign features a range of field and awareness activities across schools, shopping centers, recreational spots, events, camps, and majlis gatherings.
Community members are encouraged to participate by following the campaign’s updates on official platforms and adhering to safety guidelines, highlighting that prevention is a collective responsibility that ensures everyone’s safety.
The authority emphasized the importance of promptly reporting emergencies to 999, making way for Civil Defense vehicles, and avoiding congestion at accident scenes.
