This occurred during the Asian Football Confederation’s ceremony held on Thursday evening at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as reported by Okaz. The ceremony, hosted by Saudi Arabia for the first time under the slogan “Riyadh 2025,” marks the 29th edition of the continental event.
The event honored winners in 20 different categories, attended by a selection of Asian and prominent sports figures. Al-Dawsari excelled in the award race over Qatari player Akram Afif and Malaysian Arif Aiman Hanapi.
Al-Dawsari had previously won the same award in 2022, reinforcing his status as one of Asia’s top football stars by securing the title for the second time. This comes after a successful season with the Saudi national team, which he recently led to qualify for the 2026 World Cup following a victory over Indonesia and a draw with Iraq in the Asian playoff.
