Dubai entrepreneur Anis Sajan has generously distributed over 700 Asia Cup tickets to blue-collar workers, giving them a chance to enjoy live cricket in the UAE.

The tournament kicked off on Tuesday, September 9, featuring teams like India, Pakistan, UAE, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Oman, and Sri Lanka. The highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match, dubbed the ‘mother of all games,’ is set for Sunday, September 14, at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.

“We have allocated 100 tickets for the much-awaited India vs. Pakistan group match. Additionally, we have reserved 100 tickets for a potential Super 4 stage clash on the 21st, and another 100 for the finals,” stated Sajan, vice chairman of Danube Group.

Earlier in February, he distributed numerous tickets to blue-collar workers during the ICC Champions Trophy in the UAE.

“For many, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness their cricket idols live. Such grand matches are rare in the UAE, and I want to ensure those working hard behind the scenes partake in the joy and celebration. It’s about acknowledging their efforts, boosting morale, and creating lasting memories,” Sajan expressed.

With Danube Group employing over 2,000 workers from diverse backgrounds, Sajan emphasized fairness and equal opportunity. “We held a lucky draw to select the ticket recipients. This method not only eliminates bias but also builds excitement and inclusivity among employees,” noted Sajan, also known as Mr. Cricket UAE.

Importantly, he assured that workers attending the matches won’t lose a day’s pay. “Absolutely not. This initiative is a reward and recognition, not a financial burden,” he affirmed.
