In less than a month, Apple is poised to unveil its newest hardware lineup. The iPhone 17 series is anticipated to be revealed during a keynote event on Tuesday, September 9, as reported by several sources.
This fall event won’t focus solely on the iPhone. It’s also expected that Apple will introduce the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and possibly a new version of the AirPods Pro, all likely sharing a coordinated release date.
In addition to hardware, there’s significant enthusiasm for Apple’s forthcoming software. iOS 26 has stirred more excitement than usual this year, with early testers lauding its speed and refinement.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg mentioned in his Power On newsletter that the sixth developer beta is “incredibly fast,” hinting that the final public release is close. iOS 26 will come pre-installed on iPhone 17 models but will also be available for older devices, starting from iPhone 11.
If Apple maintains its usual schedule, the release timeline might align with last year’s. In 2024, iOS 18 was launched on Monday, September 16, a week post-keynote and just before the iPhone 16 hit stores. This suggests iOS 26 might release in the week starting September 15.
