During his speech, Jeon said: “The Chinese military is ready to work with all parties to be a force for peace and stability,” adding that China’s armed forces are prepared to cooperate with everyone to build a more just and rational global system. The Chinese Minister of Defense also called on the countries of the world to work together to confront hegemony and intimidation policies.
Jeon emphasized that his country advocates for adherence, warning that external interventions and the pursuit of influence will drag the international community into chaos and conflicts. The minister stated: “It is extremely necessary to protect sovereignty and equality, as they are the foundations of the global governance system.”
He added that “external military interventions, the conflict over spheres of influence, forcing countries to side with a particular party, and ignoring the principle of sovereign equality are all factors that will drive the international community toward chaos and conflicts.”
The 12th Xiangshan Forum on Security, organized by the Chinese Ministry of Defense, is being held in Beijing from September 17 to 19, with the participation of defense and military leaders from more than 100 countries, including Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, France, Nigeria, and Brazil.
