A cyberattack targeting a service provider for check-in and boarding systems has caused significant disruptions at several major European airports, including Heathrow in London, Brussels, and Berlin, leading to flight delays and cancellations on Saturday.
Collins Aerospace, responsible for providing check-in and boarding systems to numerous airlines worldwide, is facing a technical issue that might delay departing passengers, according to London’s Heathrow Airport, which has issued a warning about potential delays.
The attack has disabled automated systems, necessitating manual check-in and boarding procedures, as stated on Brussels Airport’s website.
