Dubai’s tourism and cultural network

In preparation for this groundbreaking event, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) have formed a Strategic Partnership to enhance and promote Gitex TechCation.

The initiative aims to leverage the emirate’s tourism and cultural assets to develop TechCation programs, campaigns, and immersive experiences, expanding the event’s reach beyond convention halls to the entire city.

Supporting DET’s vision to make Dubai the premier city for visiting, living, working, and investing, the program encourages extended stays.

World’s top travel destination

Dubai has been ranked No.1 in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards for three years running (2022-2024), highlighting its allure to international visitors and establishing it as a prime location for a global tech event.

The city’s culinary scene has gained global acclaim, with the 2025 Michelin Guide featuring 119 Dubai restaurants, 19 of which have Michelin Stars, and two ranking in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2025.

Advancing D33 goals

Gitex TechCation aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which strives to rank Dubai among the top three global cities by 2033. By integrating the world’s largest tech and investor network into Dubai’s tourism and cultural fabric, the event bolsters the city’s reputation as a global hub for talent, foreign direct investment, and commerce.

In H1 2025, Dubai led globally in the number of Greenfield FDI projects for the eighth consecutive half-year and topped Savills’ Executive Nomad Index, attracting entrepreneurs, tech talent, and investors.
