A fire erupted in Sharjah’s industrial area on Wednesday evening, releasing thick smoke over adjacent neighborhoods.
Witnesses reported hearing sirens and seeing flames rising from a group of warehouses. The fire, which began around 6pm, quickly escalated.
Photos and videos shared with Khaleej Times displayed large flames illuminating the skyline.
“It seems to be located behind Al Wahda Street,” stated A.A, a Bu Daniq resident near Mega Mall, who captured photos of the fire from his balcony. The fire’s cause remains unknown.
