The Times of Israel reported on Sunday morning, quoting Gideon Sa’ar, that the two conditions are if Hamas releases the Israeli hostages and prisoners and relinquishes its weapons. Gideon Sa’ar made these statements during a press conference with the Danish Foreign Minister in the occupied city of Jerusalem, a day after the Palestinian movement reiterated its position that it will release all hostages if Israel agrees to end the war and withdraw its forces.

Hamas had announced its agreement to a 60-day period that includes a partial exchange of prisoners and detainees, followed by negotiations aimed at a permanent ceasefire and ending the war. However, Israel has not officially responded to the proposal yet.

Israel resumed bombing the Gaza Strip on March 18, after a halt of about two months, specifically since the ceasefire agreement with Hamas began on January 19, following stalled talks to extend the first phase of the agreement or move to its second phase. The ceasefire agreement was supposed to continue once the first phase, which ended on March 1, was extended or moved to its second phase, but disagreements between Israel and Hamas over the next steps prevented this.
