Iran-Europe Dialogue on Nuclear Issues

The spokesperson for the Iranian government, Fatemeh Mohajerani, stated today, Saturday, that what is currently happening between Iran and the three European countries is not formal negotiations, but rather a dialogue and exchange of views regarding the nuclear file amidst increasingly complex circumstances. She added in statements to ‘Sputnik’ that Iran has never opposed dialogue on various issues. Mohajerani affirmed that the current talks are limited to exchanging opinions and do not amount to attempts to reach an agreement. The European troika countries (France, Germany, the United Kingdom) are seeking to pressure for a return to serious negotiations, warning that time is running out, as mentioned by one diplomat to Western media. This meeting comes after a long hiatus caused by the recent war between Iran and Israel, which led to the suspension of the negotiation track between Tehran and Washington. The Iranian Foreign Minister previously confirmed that his country is committed to its rights to have a peaceful nuclear program and will not relinquish its right to enrichment.
