Sa’ar stated on the ‘X’ platform that “this plan will be implemented based on the experiences and lessons learned from last year’s activities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs witnessed the allocation of a large budget for the first time, and this budget will increase significantly in the next fiscal year.”

The Israeli government approved the state budget for 2026 today, Friday, according to the office of the Israeli Prime Minister. This includes 112 billion shekels ($35 billion) for defense. This vote follows a settlement agreement between the Ministries of Finance and Defense after disputes over defense spending and tax reductions.

The Israeli opposition leader, Yair Lapid, condemned the budget, considering it serves “fraudsters and military service evaders.”
