Katz added that “the camps of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams were centers of terrorism, funded and armed by Iran, to serve as another front against Israel.” He confirmed that the Israeli army, over the past eight months, “conducted an intensive attack, during which the residents of the camps were evacuated, militants were killed, and the infrastructure used by terrorist groups was destroyed,” according to ‘The Times of Israel.’
Katz stated in a statement: “The Israeli army will remain inside the camps at this stage, at least until the end of the year, under my directives.”
In January 2025, the Israeli army launched an attack against terrorist elements in the northern West Bank, focusing on the refugee camps in the Jenin and Tulkarm areas.
