The Syrian News Agency ‘SANA’ reported that an occupying force consisting of 11 vehicles and more than 60 soldiers infiltrated the area between the towns of Beit Jinn and Mazraat Beit Jinn in western rural Damascus. They seized control, noting that they fired shots toward the locals without causing injuries.
According to Syrian media, Israeli forces penetrated the area, set up checkpoints, and arrested several civilians. Previously, the Israeli army announced on Sunday the arrest of several Syrians and the execution of extensive raids over the past week.
In a statement published on its official website, the Israeli army stated that forces from the ‘Golan’ Brigade (474), led by Division 210, conducted several raids last week to seize weapons and arrest suspects. They claimed that the forces discovered several weapon depots before seizing them, which included RPG missiles, explosive devices, and Kalashnikov weapons, following simultaneous searches of multiple targets.
These developments are seen as a continuation of the ongoing Israeli violations in Syria, as Israel announced these actions coinciding with the departure of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government in December 2024. Israel has repeatedly launched incursions into Syrian territory and airstrikes that have resulted in civilian casualties and the destruction of Syrian military sites, vehicles, and weapons.
