The events witnessed a remarkable turnout and a massive number of visitors, described as creating a lively scene in the heart of the Libyan desert. Young people from various regions gathered to celebrate this sporting event, which has become a symbol of challenge, adventure, and the spirit of solidarity between contestants and the audience alike. In a special statement to “”, the head of the rally’s media committee, Hassan Qandah, said: “The current edition has seen remarkable development in terms of organization and participation, noting that the rally includes contestants from various categories, including motorcycles, cars, and quad bikes.” Qandah explained that the distances and stages have expanded compared to previous years, with the rally consisting of three stages, each exceeding 200 km, with a total distance reaching 700 kilometers. He added: “Today we were at the endpoint of the first stage and welcomed all the contestants safely. Friday is dedicated to rest and vehicle maintenance, with competitions concluding next Saturday with the crowning in Waddan.” He pointed out that the event is accompanied by a large youth festival bringing together participants from various regions of Libya – from the north, south, east, and west – inside the “TT” Rally camp, which includes more than 200 participants and a comprehensive infrastructure to serve visitors, including a massive theater and various service facilities. He confirmed that this edition sees the participation of contestants from Algeria and judges from Tunisia and Jordan, explaining that the “TT” Rally laws now match global standards thanks to a comprehensive Libyan team supported by Arab expertise from Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. Qandah concluded his remarks by noting the overcoming of some previous obstacles such as the water problem by drilling a new well and the electricity crisis by providing generators in the desert, confirming that upcoming editions will witness more development and professionalism in organization and participation.

On his part, Louay Marai, Director of Jordan Rally, praised the distinguished organization of the eleventh edition of the international “TT” Rally, held in the city of Waddan, describing the event as one of the most distinguished rallies in the region in terms of organization and public turnout. Marai said in statements to “Sputnik”: I was honored to attend the eleventh edition of the “TT” Rally, which surprised me in terms of organization and the number of spectators, which we do not see even in many rallies around the world. The numbers are massive, and the organizing committee was fully prepared to provide the necessary services and infrastructure for this large attendance, which are efforts deserving of appreciation. He added that the organizing committee paid great attention to the smallest details, from equipping restaurants, service facilities, and a massive theater in the heart of the desert to securing tracks and organizing accompanying events that enhance the festival’s atmosphere.

Marai pointed out that competitions in the desert take place away from the audience, but they form an essential part of the event, confirming that the organizational performance approached the level adopted in advanced international rallies. He also appreciated the great cooperation between the security and governmental authorities in Libya, which contributed to providing safety, ambulance, and security teams to maintain the safety of the contestants and the audience, organize roads, and secure entrances and exits, which he considered a key factor in the success of the event. Marai described it as a “national holiday” in Libya, saying: The large numbers that attended from different regions make this event more than just a rally, but a national holiday that unites Libyans in their love for adventure and desert sports. He pointed out that the competition this year was strong and beautiful, with all contestants striving to achieve the best results, noting that the event was free of accidents, except for some minor mechanical failures that prevented some contestants from completing the race, confirming that the most important thing is everyone’s safety and the spirit of fair competition that distinguished this edition.
