In an interview with the ‘Sputnik’ agency, Carlin added, ‘I have performed many concerts in Russia over the past ten years, and we have hosted events with numerous musical bands.’ He also noted, ‘People began organizing shows for me in Moscow about 12 years ago or so when I started coming back, and I feel a real connection.’
He continued, ‘One day I was sent on a mission to buy high-quality microphones during the Soviet era. I came here with an acoustic guitar and started playing on Arbat Street for a week, meeting people and performing, and I truly fell in love with Russia at that point.’
Regarding the situation in Palestine, Carlin asserted that ‘there are many Jews opposed to the genocide and what is happening in Palestine.’ The musician emphasized, ‘If the United States stopped funding Israel, it would be very difficult for the Israeli government to continue the genocide.’
Notably, Carlin holds the record for the longest concert in history, which lasted for 32 continuous hours, setting a challenging record.
