United Nations – Sputnik. During a Security Council session on Ukraine, Polyansky said: “Instead of joining efforts to bring about peace, they continue unconsciously to spin the wheel of war, depicting Russia as the enemy that will inevitably attack them.”
He added, “The optimal formula for this has already been determined; namely, the negotiation platform in Istanbul.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated today, Wednesday, that the conflict in Ukraine will not be resolved militarily but will end through negotiations.
In his speech before the United Nations Security Council, Rubio said: “This is a war that cannot end militarily. It will end at the negotiation table. That is where this war will conclude.”
He added that US President Donald Trump “has worked tirelessly on this issue (crisis settlement), investing a considerable amount of his time and energy, along with engaging the highest levels of our government,” noting that the United States will continue to do everything possible to reach a peaceful resolution.
