The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stated that the ‘Sapphire South Central DP’ well is the third among the wells of the 11th phase of the ‘West Nile Delta Deep’ project, as reported by the Egyptian newspaper ‘Al-Shorouk’ on Friday.
The ministry explained that the well began with approximately 50 million cubic feet of gas per day and 800 barrels of condensates, equivalent to 9,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
According to the ministry, the company has restarted the ‘Scarab D4’ well after a long halt, adding about 10 million cubic feet per day, equivalent to 1,700 barrels of oil equivalent.
A few days ago, Egyptian Karim Badawi confirmed that ‘efforts continue to drill new wells in the Zohr gas field in the Mediterranean.’
Recently, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the success of the offshore drilling rig ‘Saipem 10000’ in completing the drilling of the ‘Zohr 6’ well, contributing an additional 60 million cubic feet of natural gas per day to the current production rates.
