The fourth Spider-Man film featuring Tom Holland is finally coming together.
In a recent interview on the YouTube show Flip Your Wig, Holland discussed the upcoming sequel titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He expressed his excitement about returning as Peter Parker and shared that the film will embrace a more “old-school” filmmaking approach, utilizing real locations and practical effects.
“Playing Spider-Man feels like catching up with an old friend. The last movie was quite limited due to COVID; we filmed entirely on stages,” he told Deadline.
“Now, we’re really embracing traditional filmmaking by shooting on real locations, starting in Glasgow… It’s been a long time since I’ve done this, and it’s going to feel refreshing. I believe fans will be thrilled with our project,” he added.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026, with filming kicking off once Holland and co-star Zendaya complete Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
The movie will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, renowned for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Amy Pascal and Marvel chief Kevin Feige will return as producers.
Actors Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Liza Colon-Zayas (The Bear) are joining the cast, though their roles remain undisclosed.
