He added in statements to Sputnik: This day should be a new start for a strong relationship between African countries, and this relationship should not only be commercial, but should include exchanges and investments between countries. Today, we have many countries that have achieved significant integration in industry and have experience.
He continued: This vision, which will be applied in African production within the Algerian economy, we will generalize in this way to African production. The Algerian Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Dr. Wasim Kouaidri, said last Friday, in his speech during the ministerial session of the African Intra-Trade Fair, that organizing this event in Algeria is not just a temporary gain, but a strategic choice that reflects our country’s firm will to make industry, especially vehicle manufacturing, a lever for economic diversification and a key driver for African integration.
He added in a meeting attended by Sputnik, that this field is promising for building regional and international partnerships based on mutual benefit, technology transfer, and creating added value. He explained that Algeria has experienced multiple attempts in the past to establish a vehicle industry, but they remained confined to assembly patterns with limited added value.
He continued, saying: Today, thanks to the new vision we have adopted based on the directives of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid, our goal has become clear, which is to build a real vehicle industry based on the integration of value chains by developing a strong base for the spare parts industry, diversifying industrial partners, empowering local suppliers, and enabling small and medium-sized enterprises to play a pivotal role.
