All five members of the acclaimed K-pop ensemble NewJeans have opted to return to their label, ADOR, following a court decision in late October.
A South Korean court sided with ADOR after NewJeans attempted to establish their own band under the name NJZ, leading to ADOR’s injunction request.
On Wednesday, November 12, ADOR revealed that the youngest duo, Haerin and Hyein, chose to remain with the label after “family discussions.” Subsequently, it was announced that Minji, Hanni, and Danielle would also rejoin and continue their endeavors with ADOR.

Min Hee Jin on NewJeans’ Reunion
The publicized rift between NewJeans and ADOR emerged in 2024, when Min Hee Jin, then CEO and considered a maternal figure by members, was dismissed. After NewJeans’ ultimatum to reinstate Min fell through, they went public with their grievances and attempted to exit their contract.
Upon the announcement of their return to ADOR, Min Hee Jin expressed her support for the group’s decision.
“I trust that the members’ decision to reunite was made after thoughtful consideration,” she stated. “I fully support and respect that choice.”
She commended the artists’ “bravery” and mutual support, noting her own readiness to “embark anew anywhere.”
Min emphasized the importance of NewJeans staying united as a quintet, expressing her hopes for their joy. She thanked fans and encouraged ongoing support for the group, pledging her support “to the very end.”
The former CEO also commented on the legal battles involving her and HYBE, as well as ADOR and NewJeans, labeling it as a “prolonged” and “challenging” period.
“The legal issues between HYBE and myself are completely separate and unrelated to NewJeans. I am committed to uncovering the truth,” she asserted.
