Putin told reporters, “I assess the (negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul) as generally positive. How can one not positively evaluate the return of hundreds of people to their homeland? This is positive. For humanitarian reasons, as you know, we handed over thousands of deceased Ukrainian military bodies, and in return, we received dozens of our men who sacrificed their lives for their country. Isn’t this positive? Of course, it is a positive moment.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also stated that the political system in the Russian Federation is based on its constitution and is legislatively documented, which does not apply to Ukraine.
Putin told reporters, “Our political system is based on the Constitution of the Russian Federation and has been formulated to govern (manage the country) according to the state’s basic law, and this does not apply to Ukraine.”
