In statements to ‘Sputnik’, he said, ‘We have developed the ‘Scorpion’ drone, which is 75% locally manufactured. This is the first phase of its development. It has an operational time of five hours and can remain in standby mode for 24 hours. We can equip it with a robotic arm for use in various tasks.’ Engineer Ayman Adel pointed out that the ‘Scorpion’ is the latest product from the ‘Adel’ factory in the field of drones, with the possibility of making additional modifications according to customer requests.
Egypt hosted the International Defense Exhibition ‘EDEX 2025’ in its fourth edition from December 1 to 4. The exhibition was organized at an international exhibition and conference center under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. It is considered the largest and most important event gathering leaders of the defense sector from around the world.
The exhibition welcomed about 40,000 local and international visitors, as well as official delegations from more than 100 countries. The number of companies showcasing their products at the exhibition reached more than 400, specializing in defense industries from 86 countries.
