Abdel Aaty made these statements in a television interview with ‘Cairo News’ channel on Monday evening, emphasizing that the key principles include excluding military solutions to the crisis, maintaining the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, and protecting the Sudanese people’s resources from destruction and looting, according to the Egyptian newspaper ‘Al-Shorouk.’

Abdel Aaty explained that the Egyptian stance focuses on implementing the ‘Quartet Declaration’ issued on September 12, which includes a roadmap that starts with a humanitarian truce leading to an immediate ceasefire. This paves the way for a comprehensive political process that excludes no one and is Sudanese-owned and led, preserving the rights and resources of the brotherly Sudanese people.

Additionally, it was previously announced that control over the strategic city of Bara in North Kordofan was achieved after battles with the Sudanese army forces. However, the spokesperson for the ‘Sudan Liberation Army’ Movement, Al-Sadiq Ali Al-Nour, denied to ‘Sputnik’ agency the truth of these forces’ announcement regarding their full control over the city of Bara.

In April 2023, violent and widespread clashes erupted between the Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in various regions of Sudan, with both parties attempting to control vital sites. Arab, African, and international parties mediated for a ceasefire, but these mediations failed to achieve a permanent ceasefire.
