The tragic incident occurred on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, December 9-10, 2025, when the two buildings, each consisting of four floors and housing eight families, gradually collapsed around 11 PM, resulting in the loss of many residents, according to the electronic newspaper “Raseef 24”.
Upon receiving the notification, civil protection teams, security, and local authorities rushed to the site, where they began the arduous rescue operations using heavy machinery and search dogs, hoping to find additional survivors.
The injured, including women and children, were transported to the university hospital center for medical examinations and treatments, with most confirmed to be in stable condition.
The authorities continued searching for possible missing persons under the rubble until the early hours of yesterday morning.
