This initiative aims to enhance field inspection teams’ ability to swiftly and securely process visa and residency violations, minimizing dependence on traditional methods. The vehicle is purpose-built for smart security inspections, merging sustainability with advanced technology.

Outfitted with six high-resolution cameras, the car offers complete perimeter coverage, extending visual monitoring up to 10 metres in all directions, ensuring comprehensive surveillance of the environment. Its integrated design supports seamless functionality across various conditions, including day and night, dust storms, and extreme heat—essential for the UAE’s demanding climate.

Internal Technologies

Inside, inspectors have access to specialized interfaces that provide immediate results for prompt field action. The system captures real-time facial images via cameras, processing them instantly to avoid delays. Advanced AI algorithms quickly and precisely analyze facial features for accurate identification.

The recognition system can instantly identify wanted individuals through advanced pattern matching. A smart alert notifies instantly when a database record match is found, facilitating rapid response. The internal dashboard utilizes predictive technology for immediate decision-making and maintains a secure link to the Authority’s databases to ensure accuracy.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the ICP, highlighted this project as a breakthrough in field control methods. “Our goal is to support inspection teams, enhance the efficiency of handling visa and residency violations quickly and safely, and expedite emergency responses through automated analysis,” he stated.

More AI-Powered Innovations

The ICP is introducing four pioneering projects leveraging AI to improve customer service, showcasing the authority’s leadership in employing technology to advance its smart services ecosystem.

  • Smart Faceprint: A comprehensive digital platform utilizing AI for seamless, proactive services, enhancing travel convenience and secure payments, while streamlining verification processes with government and private platforms.

  • Smart Contact Centre: An AI-driven voice system capable of understanding multiple dialects, handling over 20,000 calls daily to process inquiries and deliver instant responses without human intervention, significantly boosting response times and service quality.

  • Domestic Worker Services Package: Developed with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the ICP offers a unified “Work Package” platform streamlining residency issuance, renewal, or cancellation, and medical exams for domestic workers through a single portal, dramatically reducing steps, visits, and paperwork.

Major General Al Khaili affirmed that these projects align with the UAE’s strategic goals to meet future consumer needs. “The projects presented at Gitex stand out for their use of AI to deliver and enhance services and operational processes. They are innovative initiatives developed by Emirati talent within the Authority,” he added, underscoring the ICP’s dedication to improving community quality of life.
