Al-Ansari pointed out in a press conference following the Arab-Islamic summit in Doha that “the US Secretary of State is expected to arrive in Qatar tomorrow.” The US Secretary of State’s visit to Qatar comes after his visit to Israel, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considered a “clear message” of US support for Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister reiterated that “Israel’s decision to target Hamas leaders in Qatar was a completely independent Israeli decision.” The US Secretary of State warned countries that recognize the Palestinian state that Israel will respond to such a move.
The Qatari capital, Doha, hosted an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit today, Monday, to discuss developments in the region and Israeli attacks targeting several countries in the region, the latest being the targeting of the Qatari capital, Doha, which tops the summit’s agenda.
The final statement of the summit called on “all countries to take all possible legal and effective measures to prevent Israel from continuing its actions against the Palestinian people, including supporting efforts to end its impunity, hold it accountable for its violations and crimes, impose sanctions on it, and suspend the supply of weapons, ammunition, and military materials, or their transfer or transit, including dual-use materials, and review diplomatic and economic relations with it, and initiate legal actions against it.”
