In an interview with the channel, Vance responded to a question about the most frustrating aspects of his position as Vice President: “The situation between Russia and Ukraine has become a constant source of disappointment, I believe, for the entire White House.” He added, “We truly thought—and you’ve heard the President talk about this a million times—that resolving this war would be as easy as possible.” The U.S. Vice President indicated that he expects positive developments regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict in the coming weeks, saying, “I think there is hope—and I hope there will be good news in the next few weeks on this issue.”

Witkoff and Kushner were received in the Kremlin last Tuesday, where the main features of the American peace plan were discussed, without reaching a final settlement formula. Both parties agreed to continue working and not to disclose details of what transpired in the session. The Russian delegation included Kirill Dmitriev, Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, along with Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov.

Before heading to Moscow, the American delegations met with representatives from Ukraine. According to Western media, the discussions in Florida included issues such as land exchange, security guarantees, and the impossibility of Ukraine joining NATO, without reaching a final agreement.
