Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant Under Attack Again

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant channel on Telegram wrote: “Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces again shelled the industrial area in Enerhodar, where the transport workshop and the printing house of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant are located. No one was injured, neither among the staff nor the residents.” The plant’s press office added that the consequences of the shelling were the breaking of windows in the printing house and the transport workshop buildings. The press office continued: “Our teams are currently inspecting the areas to check for other damages.” The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and its city, Enerhodar, are regularly attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River near the city of Enerhodar. It is significant in terms of the number of units and generating capacity, containing six energy units, each with a capacity of 1 gigawatt. Since March 2022, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been under the protection of Russian forces, with Moscow asserting that this step was necessary to prevent leakage.
