The boy, whose age was estimated by authorities to be around 13 years, was found wandering on the airport runway near where the plane had stopped shortly after it landed on Sunday morning, according to a statement issued by the Central Industrial Security Force in India.
The statement added that, upon interrogation, authorities found that he was from Kunduz, northern Afghanistan, and had traveled hiding in the “rear central landing gear” of a Kam Air aircraft.
A small red loudspeaker was also found in the area where the boy had been hiding. The distance between Kabul and Delhi is about a thousand kilometers, and the flight took approximately an hour and a half.
