The Spanish newspaper “Sport” reported on Wednesday evening that the loss of the Saudi Super Cup will push Al-Ittihad Club to enter the summer transfer market strongly, starting with the signing of Spanish player Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid. Al-Ittihad had exited the Saudi Super Cup tournament in the semi-final after losing to Al-Nassr with a score of 1-2.

The Western newspaper noted that Dani Ceballos has been struggling to secure a spot in the starting lineup in recent months and has only played a few minutes during Real Madrid’s first match against Osasuna. The player’s complicated situation at Real Madrid might be an opportunity for the Saudi club to sign him during the summer transfer window.

Although Real Madrid does not mind the departure of the 29-year-old, the player has refused to move to Real Betis, the team where he began his career before joining “Los Merengues.”

News of Al-Ittihad’s interest in signing Ceballos coincided with media reports of the club’s desire to part ways with the foreign midfield duo; Brazilian Fabinho and Algerian Houssam Aouar, to make new signings after losing the Super Cup.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Ittihad includes French striker Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid legend, who led the attack of the royal team alongside Vinicius Junior in a previous period.
