Regarding the American plan discussed by Steve Witkoff, the US President’s envoy, Abu Rahma revealed in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio some leaks about it. These leaks indicate a vision consisting of several phases for the day after the war, including the establishment of a temporary Palestinian administration, the introduction of international or Arab forces to supervise security, and the dismantling of the military infrastructure of Palestinian factions.

Regarding the likelihood of this plan’s success, Abu Rahma stated, “It might succeed if there are sincere intentions, especially from the security administration, along with the involvement of Palestinian Authority institutions. However, challenges remain, such as Israeli opposition to any Palestinian project, the role of institutions like the American Relief Agency, and the Palestinian division.”

In response to a question about Egyptian reinforcements in Sinai, Abu Rahma emphasized that “Since the beginning of the war, Egypt has played a prominent role in confronting the Israeli project.” He considered that “Egyptian reinforcements at the border are a clear message that Egypt’s security is a red line, and any imposed thinking is completely rejected. Egypt is ready to deal with any field developments that may arise on its borders.”
