This was stated in a statement by ‘Ansar Allah’ on Sunday, published by their affiliated channel ‘Al-Masirah’. They claimed that their armed forces carried out a special military operation against Lod Airport (Ben Gurion Airport), noting that the operation achieved its goal successfully, causing flight disruptions and sending millions to shelters.
They continued: ‘We affirm that this operation aims to support the Palestinian people and is a response to the genocide they are exposed to by Israel. It also represents a response to the Israeli aggression against Yemen.’
Earlier on Sunday, it was announced that their forces attacked targets in the Yemeni city of Sanaa, adding: ‘The army attacked about 2000 kilometers from Israel’s shores and about 150 kilometers deep into Yemen, targeting energy infrastructure used by the Houthi terrorist regime.’
Two violent explosions rocked the city of Sanaa in central Yemen on Sunday, which is controlled by the Yemeni ‘Ansar Allah’ group, following Israeli airstrikes. A Yemeni source told ‘Sputnik’ that ‘Israeli fighter jets carried out two airstrikes on the ‘Hiziz’ power station south of the capital Sanaa’, noting that ‘this led to a massive fire at the main power station.’
Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, ‘Ansar Allah’ has been conducting missile and drone attacks on Israel and ships linked to it or to the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, in support of Gaza, and they affirm they will continue until Israel stops the war.
