The train had stopped around 6:15 pm near Mysore Colony between Chembur and Bhakti Park, according to the BMC. The breakdown occurred due to a power supply failure caused by overcrowding, which exceeded the train’s designed capacity.

Passengers on the monorail contacted the BMC’s helpline number for immediate assistance. A medical team from the municipal corporation was present at the scene with ambulances. Six individuals who felt unwell in the monorail were treated on the spot in the ambulance and later sent home.
