According to the statement, Friday, January 2, 2026, will be a remote-work day for federal government employees, except for roles that require on-site presence due to the nature of their duties.

The decision aligns with the UAE’s efforts to support work–life balance while ensuring continuity of essential government services. Federal entities have been instructed to implement the directive and ensure smooth operations during the holiday period.
