Arab States May Join Peace with Israel Post-Gaza War

In an interview with ‘Al Arabiya,’ Abdel Aaty stated that ‘there are Arab countries that will join peace agreements with Israel once the Gaza war ends,’ noting ‘the American side has joined the Sharm El-Sheikh talks today, Wednesday.’ He explained that ‘the main guarantee for the success of the negotiations is President Donald Trump himself,’ emphasizing that ‘intensive efforts are being made to reach a solution to end the crisis.’

Abdel Aaty added that ‘the current discussion is about the first phase, which involves the entry of aid, stopping the war, releasing detainees, and retrieving captives,’ asserting that ‘as long as all concerned parties are involved, this is an important matter that can be built upon to reach understandings and agreements.’

Indirect negotiations have been taking place in the Egyptian capital since last Monday between delegations from Hamas and Israel, with the participation of mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. This is part of the plan proposed by President Trump to put an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip for the past two years, release hostages, and begin the reconstruction phase.

These developments come days after Hamas announced its acceptance of the American initiative’s principle and confirmed the support of several Western and Arab capitals for Trump’s efforts to achieve a comprehensive settlement.
