Benitez, at the same time, denied the rumors linking his dismissal from coaching Real Madrid in 2016 to disputes with Cristiano Ronaldo, according to global sports websites.
Benitez, who led Liverpool to win the UEFA Champions League in 2005, took over coaching Real Madrid a decade later. However, his experience with the royal team lasted only a few months before Zinedine Zidane replaced him.
Regarding his dismissal from Real Madrid, Benitez clarified: “It is not true that I left the club because of Cristiano Ronaldo. There were no issues between us; he is an exceptional player. My dismissal came due to internal challenges at the club, unrelated to Ronaldo.”
It is noteworthy that Ronaldo is considered one of the most prominent stars in Premier League history and continues to set new records with each season.
