After a short break from Instagram, pop icon Britney Spears returned to share a message about maintaining her peace.

“This year has been wild,” she noted on Instagram. “Grab your ballerina slippers, draw your circle, and maintain your boundaries. It’s a strict form of self-care and almost like a prayer, but with endless opportunities, it’s vital to stay true to yourself and keep things simple.”

Before she deactivated her account, Britney opened up about a challenging time, detailing a “traumatic” rehab stay at the end of her 13-year conservatorship, which she also explored in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me.

“For four months, I lost my privacy and was unlawfully restricted from moving freely,” she shared in a deleted Instagram post on October 19, as reported by People. “I feel like the mindfulness and logic in my body were completely destroyed. I feel like my freedom was taken, and I’ve suffered brain damage for a long time,” E! News shared.

Just days before, Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, father of her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, expressed concern about her “situation” while promoting his memoir You Thought You Knew, where he also highlighted the boys’ tense relationship with Britney.

In response, Britney released a statement criticizing Kevin’s “constant gaslighting” as “extremely hurtful and exhausting.”

“I’ve always wanted a life with my sons,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter) on October 15. “Relationships with teenage boys are complicated. I’ve felt demoralized and have always pleaded for them to be in my life.”

Calling her ex’s memoir “white lies,” Britney added, “I’m the only one truly hurt here.”

“I speak out because I’ve had enough,” she concluded, “and any strong woman would do the same,” E! News reported.
