Moscow – Sputnik. According to the American agency Bloomberg, citing a White House official, this request comes before the deadline for approving the government funding budget, set for September 30. Charlie Kirk, one of Trump’s prominent allies at Utah Valley University, was killed. He was known for his opposition to supporting Ukraine, considering Vladimir Zelensky a ‘hindrance to peace’ and a ‘puppet of the CIA.’ He repeatedly emphasized that Crimea has always been part of Russia.

The assassination of Kirk is not the first of its kind against political figures opposing support for Kyiv. In May 2024, a pro-Ukrainian radical attempted to assassinate Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was then hospitalized in critical condition. In the same year, there were two assassination attempts on the then-presidential candidate (now current president) Trump, who is also known for his criticism of U.S. aid to Ukraine.

According to CNN, Kirk played a pivotal role in securing Trump’s victory in the last election by helping to increase youth turnout, making him one of the most influential figures in the conservative political circle.
