Dmitriev reminded that Kirk called for building constructive relations with Moscow and opposed Washington providing weapons to Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that attendees would gather at the memorial service for the late politician and activist Charlie Kirk at the State Farm Arena in Arizona.
Rubio said from the arena’s platform: “Look at this place, there are about 100,000 people here, and the US President and his entire government are present.”
Kirk, one of President Trump’s most prominent supporters, was killed on September 10 during a rally at Utah Valley University, leaving behind a wife and two children.
Kirk was known for his stance against supporting Ukraine and described Vladimir Zelensky as “an obstacle to peace and a puppet in the hands of the CIA.” He repeatedly emphasized that Crimea “has always been a part of Russia.”
