The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated today, Tuesday, that “Beijing will take all necessary actions to suspend tariffs and remove other non-tariff barriers.” Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced on Monday evening that he signed an executive order to extend the suspension of tariffs on Chinese goods until November 10, 2025. It is noted that the US decree was signed by Trump just hours before midnight, as the postponement period for the tariffs imposed by Trump was set to expire.

Earlier, Trump mentioned that his administration, similar to the measures imposed on India due to their purchase of Russian oil. Trump explained to reporters last Wednesday, in response to a question about his plans to impose higher tariffs on China: “It might happen; it depends on how things go.”
