The fishing season has begun in the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea, the South China Sea, and the Bohai Gulf in China, from August 5th to September 16th. More than 100,000 ships have set sail to fish. China’s coastline stretches 14,500 km, and the country is home to one-fifth of the world’s population. It accounts for one-third of the world’s fish production and two-thirds of global aquaculture production.
