It was reported that “civil protection vehicles moved to the explosion site for rapid intervention.” The relevant authorities confirmed that traffic is proceeding normally, with the continued presence of civil protection forces and gas company officials to monitor the situation moment by moment, noting that repair work will be completed as soon as possible. A gas line in Egypt exploded last month, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of eight others, according to preliminary reports. The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum stated in a release that the pipeline belongs to the “Petroleum Pipelines” company, located near the gates of the Cairo – Belbeis desert road. The ministry emphasized that the damaged line transports “butane” and not natural gas. Emergency teams immediately began isolating the line and closing the feed valves to cover a 7-kilometer segment, and work is underway to drain the product from the line to fully control the ignition.
