Smotrich posted a new tweet on his official “X” account, this Wednesday evening, in which he explained that the cost of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has so far amounted to $87.5 billion. Smotrich expressed his hope that Israel will make a decision tomorrow to entirely occupy Gaza and militarily eliminate Hamas.
It is noted that the first convoy of the ninth batch of Egyptian aid to the Gaza Strip began entering this Wednesday morning through the Rafah border crossing, as part of Egypt’s continuous humanitarian support to Palestinians amid the deteriorating conditions.
Egyptian “Cairo News” channel reported that hundreds of trucks loaded with aid headed towards Gaza as part of a coordinated operation, including food, medicine, medical supplies, baby milk, tents, as well as electricity generators and water.
The channel explained that “the volume of aid provided by Egypt, since the launch of the first convoys until the ninth convoy, has exceeded 20,000 tons of humanitarian aid, reflecting Cairo’s commitment to supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering amid the Israeli aggression and the imposed blockade on the Strip.”
The people of the Gaza Strip are suffering from unprecedented levels of hunger, with UN organizations warning of rising deaths due to malnutrition, especially among children, patients, and people with disabilities.
From October 7, 2023, until August 5 of the current year, the war on Gaza has resulted in the death of more than 61,000 Palestinians, in addition to approximately 151,000 injured, according to the Ministry of Health data.
