The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has mandated the closure of Day Mart Hypermarket LLC due to persistent violations of food safety standards. These infractions were deemed a significant threat to public health.
This decision aligns with Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning Food Safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its regulations.
An ADAFSA food control report identified numerous violations and the hypermarket’s failure to make necessary corrective actions. The authority stressed that such ongoing non-compliance required immediate action to protect food safety and consumer health.

ADAFSA stated that this closure and the identification of violations are part of continuous inspections to enhance the food safety system in Abu Dhabi. They reaffirm their role in ensuring all establishments meet food safety criteria. ADAFSA inspectors conduct regular checks on all types of establishments and food products to maintain the highest safety standards.
