In a remarkable showcase of endurance and passion, Dubai-based DJ and entrepreneur Rodney Eid has set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest DJ Marathon on a Boat, completing his feat on December 2nd, coinciding with the UAE’s National Day.
This incredible achievement took place entirely offshore on a specially equipped vessel, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the nation Eid proudly calls home.
Rodney expressed, “Breaking this record was never about the title. It was my way to show gratitude to the UAE – a nation that welcomed me, supported me, and offered opportunities beyond imagination.”
Throughout his more than 24-hour performance, Eid dedicated every beat to the UAE’s spirit of resilience, unity, and generosity. As the emotional finale unfolded, he played his original song, “I Feel At Home,” as a musical homage to the Emirates. The set concluded with the UAE National Anthem resonating across the waters, symbolizing both the end of the record attempt and his profound appreciation for the country.
The world record also had a significant humanitarian aspect. Eid is supporting Dubai Cares through his “Beats for Brighter Futures” campaign, which raises funds for children’s education worldwide. Through this initiative, Rodney aims to leverage music to not only entertain but also enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged children.
“This achievement is dedicated to the UAE and every child whose future deserves light and hope,” Eid stated. “The Emirates taught me the true meaning of opportunity, and I am committed to paying that forward.”
The event garnered support from local partners and the community, marking a milestone in the UAE’s National Day celebrations and reinforcing the nation’s status as a global hub for culture, creativity, and humanitarian advancement.
