A source told Alsumaria News that the object, which was shot down within the vicinity of the Green Zone, was a drone designed for photography purposes, confirming that it did not carry any explosives.
It is worth noting that since the escalation in the Gaza Strip began in October, U.S. bases in Syria and Iraq have been subjected to almost daily drone and missile attacks, especially given the military and diplomatic support Washington provides to Israel.
