Following the announcement of his new book Almatani Alhayah (Life Taught Me), Dubai Ruler’s son, Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was among the first to receive a signed copy.
Continuing the tradition of UAE leaders, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum aims to share his life lessons with future generations and the people of a nation that attracts countless individuals from around the world.
It’s no surprise his signed copy was dedicated to his “son, support, ally” Sheikh Hamdan. The Ruler wrote a heartfelt note: “Because wisdom is more precious than gold, I entrust you with the essence of what life has taught me, hoping it aids you in your journey to serve our country and its people.”

As the first part of a series, the book reveals that even the Dubai Ruler doesn’t see himself as perfect; however, a constant over more than seventy years of his life is his love for his country, people, and family.
Serving nearly 60 years in public service, Sheikh Mohammed, also Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, reflects on his dedication to seeking the good for people, ensuring they live with dignity, and maintaining fairness in all actions.
The book reaches back through generations, sharing insights from Sheikh Mohammed’s father, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who exemplified simplicity, self-discipline, respect, kindness, and justice, as the Dubai Ruler fondly recalls.
