Dubai celebrated a milestone with its inaugural crewed eVTOL flight from Margham to Al Maktoum International Airport, setting the stage for next year’s air taxi service.
Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan announced this achievement following an evaluation of the RTA’s newest infrastructure and transportation projects.
“Today, I assessed the Roads and Transport Authority’s latest infrastructure and public transport projects designed to boost Dubai’s quality of life. In preparation for next year’s air taxi rollout, the first crewed eVTOL flight successfully journeyed from Margham, landing at Al Maktoum International Airport. Meanwhile, the city’s initial vertiport is being developed near Dubai International Airport,” he shared in a post on X.
“These advancements integrate our transport systems, making Dubai more accessible for pedestrians and cyclists, moving us closer to our vision of making Dubai the premier city for living and working,” he continued.
