Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority announced on Tuesday that the Tadreeb digital platform now facilitates the qualification and training of new drivers, serving over 250,000 trainees each year.
This platform connects all driving schools in Dubai, fully digitizes the training and qualification process, automates evaluations, and consolidates all trainee-related information.
“Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence, the platform supports driver training at more than 27 institutes, assisted by over 3,400 instructors and 3,000+ training vehicles,” stated Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency.

He further explained: “Each vehicle’s route is tracked electronically and linked to the central system. With over six million training hours annually, the platform offers a seamless, paperless experience and has operated safely since its launch.”
How it works
RTA explains that Tadreeb identifies trainee needs through data analysis, ensuring high-quality driver training and licensing proficient, professional drivers.
Key outcomes include enhanced training quality, increased transparency and accuracy in trainee assessments, and significant contributions to reducing new driver fatalities.
Additionally, the platform aids decision-making with smart dashboards that track training metrics, ensure comprehensive automation of performance evaluations, and streamline processes for training permits and contracts with relevant authorities.
“This integration has cut permit wait times, lowered operational costs, improved remote monitoring via the Smart Licensing Centre, and achieved 97% compliance by trainers with training stages,” RTA added.
